Douglas Dynamics Inc (NYSE:PLOW) has announced that Doug Clark, the Product Manager for Western Products has received a Certified Snow Professional (CSP) designation from Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA), a certificate that is created specifically for business owners, operators and executives in the snow and ice industry.
To obtain the accreditation, one must sit for an exam of 200-questions covered in less than three hours that highlights various topics including the HR Management, Snow and Ice Science, Snow and Ice Operations and Removal Techniques, and sub-contracting.
The certified members must stay abreast with the dynamic developments in the industry, continue gaining crucial information, maintain best business practices and professionalism, and fulfill their membership annual requirements.
Clark joins other certified professionals including his colleagues at Douglas Dynamics including Andy McArdle, the director of Product Marketing and Daniel Gilliland, Training Manager for the company.
SIMA’s certification generally focuses on the crucial aspects of how to operate a professional business in the snow industry that identifies excellent service quality levels and value given to the customers.

Recently, Andrew McArdle, the Director of Product Marketing of Douglas Dynamics earned the Advanced Snow Manager (ASM) designation, an official training credential from SIMA. The certification focuses on the quality, safety and operational training for all operational professional in the snow industry.
